Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology was shortlisted for THE Awards Asia-2024
26.01.2024 | 14:09 |The Oguz Khan Turkmen University of Engineering and Technology has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2024 in the Student Recruitment Campaign of the Year category. A total of 8 universities are nominated in this category (from South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and India).
In total, more than 600 applications were received, from which eighty finalists from 17 countries were identified in 10 categories for the prestigious award, which recognizes the achievements of universities in various fields such as academics, leadership, management and professional services.
The winners will be announced on April 29 at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, which will conclude the first day of the Asia Universities Summit.
The Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology was founded in 2016 and has five faculties specializing in the field of engineering and technology.
The five faculties of the university include: chemical and nanotechnology, biotechnology and ecology, computer science and information technology, cyber- physical systems and economics of innovation.
In 2019, the Institute of General and Applied Biology was established at the university, specializing in biological sciences. Conducting research in cell biology, biochemistry and other areas, the institute has six laboratories.
