Oriented on making people closer

On December 16, the championship of Ashgabat in strict biceps lifting with a barbell among juniors was held on the territory of the Ashgabat secondary special School of Energy. This is reported by the Athletic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan.

In total, the city tournament revealed 10 champions in different weight categories:
• Kulamov Baratali (52 kg)
• Vladimir Bagov (52 kg);
• Ilbaev Yazmuhammet (60 kg);
• Orazov Dovlet (75 kg);
• Narkulov Kamil (82 kg);
• Mironov Alexander (82 kg);
• Muhammet Ezizov (90 kg);
• Babamuradov Ilyas (110 kg);
• Manaev Kadyr (120 kg);
• Emirgulyev Saparmammet (+120 kg);

It should be recalled that recently Turkmen athletes won medals at international competitions: The WPC Open World Powerlifting Cup in Bishkek and the Asian Arm Wrestling Cup in Samarkand.

In the powerlifting tournament, Shatlyk Rahmanov, who was awarded a gold medal, became the absolute winner among 203 athletes. In the arm wrestling competition among 526 participants from 22 countries, Rovshen Chopanov (right and left-handed) and the head of the Athletic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Pirovov (left-handed), received silver awards. The winner of the bronze (right hand) of the Asian Cup was also a Turkmen athlete – Azat Permanov.
