The draw of the Turkmenistan Electronic Sports Federation Cup will be held in April
18.12.2023 | 00:23 |The National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan announced the holding of the annual Federation Cup tournament in April 2024, promising to fill it with "new breath". In particular, 3 disciplines will be added to the esports competition program: PUBG Mobile will be presented in the genre of mobile tactical combat, eFootball 24 in the genre of console sports simulator and the Tekken 7 console fighting game will complement all this.
Registration is already open on the federation's website in the corresponding section.
"This time we decided to open registration in advance, namely, 4 months before the start of the Cup, so that players and teams could study their opponents, hone their skills, pick up good teammates for the necessary positions," the words of the president of the federation Mekan Eeberdyev are quoted on the website.
"Mobile gaming and mobile esports are taking leaps and bounds forward. This year, our federation managed to start negotiations with the developers of PUBG Mobile, Tencent Games. It was quite difficult to get through to the largest corporation in the field of computer games, but the theory of five handshakes has long been no theory. First of all, we received reliable data on PUBG Mobile statistics in the country, and the figures turned out to be impressive: several thousand citizens of Turkmenistan play this game every day. Such figures make it possible to call this game one of the most popular in the country – and attractive for the growth of Turkmenistan in the international arena," said Nazar Udeumuradov, Secretary General of the Federation.
In addition to additional disciplines, the federation will please cyber athletes with a prize fund of 36,000 manats, which will be distributed as follows:
Dota2 — 10000 manats
Counter Strike 2 — 10000 manats
PUBG Mobile — 10000 manats
eFootball — 3000 manats
Tekken 7 — 3000 manats.
And most importantly, the winner of each discipline will receive the right to compete at the regional World Esports Championship games under the auspices of the International Esports Federation (IESF). The World Esports Championship in 2024 will be held in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, the National Electronic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan announced its intention to hold the first esports Student Cup in the country's history, scheduling it for March 15-21, 2024.
