A meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS will take place on December 18 in Moscow
15.12.2023 | 22:27 |A meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States with the participation of the ministers of economics and culture of the CIS member states will be held on December 18 in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, at which the expansion of cultural and humanitarian interaction within the Commonwealth will be discussed. This was reported by the press service of the Russian government.
“On December 16–18 in Moscow, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will take part in events within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States,” the message says.
It is noted that the event “will focus on expanding cultural and humanitarian interaction within the Commonwealth.”
Following the meeting, it is planned to adopt a statement by the heads of government of the CIS member states on the prospects for cultural cooperation. The document will set out key areas of joint work to deepen intercultural dialogue, strengthen mutual understanding and mutual respect for the cultural diversity of the Commonwealth countries, and popularize the cultural and civilizational diversity of the peoples of the CIS member states.
On December 20, a meeting of the Commission on Economic Issues under the CIS Economic Council will be held in Moscow.
