The Tashkent metro is testing payment using palm scanning

For the first time, a payment system using palm scanning was launched at the Druzhba Narodov metro station in the Uzbek capital. This is reported by the National News Agency of the republic with reference to the press service of the Tashkent City Hall.

Palm ID is a new biometric identification project based on vein images, developed by UZINFOCOM, which makes it possible to pay for travel without bank or transport cards, checks with a QR code.

The system works as follows — a person holds his palm over the scanner, after which the system identifies him and automatically debits the payment. To do this, you just need to enter your personal data through a special program.

The virtual card is opened and replenished with funds through a mobile application.
