Apple plans to release a MacBook with cellular support based on its own chip with a 5G modem.
This is expected to happen in 2028. After all, first the American corporation intends to transfer its smartphones to proprietary 5G modems.
In addition to the iPhone and MacBook, Apple also wants to integrate its own chip with a 5G modem into the Apple Watch and iPad.
Apple has been developing proprietary modems since 2018 in an attempt to break away from its dependence on Qualcomm, which components it currently uses.
