The next entrepreneur who shared his export experience within the framework of the USAID’s Trade Central Asia activity, as a part of the Export Ecosystem Development Initiative was Maksat Ibragimov, the head of the Individual enterprise “Maksada Okgunly” and a member of the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Let us remind you that the goal of this column on the Orient Information portal in particular, and the goal of the USAID’s Trade Central Asia activity in general, is to improve trade cooperation in the region in order to promote economic growth and expand economic opportunities in Central Asia by harmonizing customs and border control procedures, strengthening public-private partnerships on trade and investment, strengthening cross-border business interactions and addressing gender issues as well.

The "Maksada Okgunly" company began operating in 1998 and has always taken a comprehensive approach to fulfilling its tasks: they have experience in raising chickens, rabbits, and turkeys. Maksat Ibragimov’s pride is that he was the first in Turkmenistan to receive permission to export meat products, in his case turkey.

Speaking about experience in the export sector, Maksat noted that Turkmenistan is a country with simplified requirements for entering international markets. To confirm the readiness of the goods for export, the entrepreneur identified three main documents: a certificate of origin, a certificate of quality and a certificate of product conformity.

Also, the head of "Maksad Okgunly" told us about the works performed to achieve the goals set by his company. In particular, the launch of the production of baby food, which will be several times cheaper than imported analogues, is planned for the beginning of next year.
