Turkmenistan: Uninterrupted Humanitarian Corridor for Transit from Iran
19.06.2025 | 03:40 |The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announces the continuation of the provision of a round-the-clock humanitarian corridor for foreign citizens arriving from Iran and transiting to their countries. This continuous activity underlines Turkmenistan's commitment to the principles of humanism and good neighborliness.
Hundreds of citizens of India, China, Pakistan and other countries have successfully crossed the border through Turkmenistan's checkpoints. The Turkmen authorities are providing all the necessary measures for the unimpeded transit of these citizens, facilitating their safe and comfortable return to their homeland.
This large-scale humanitarian activity is carried out in close and effective cooperation with the diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Ashgabat.
This consistent position is a clear evidence of the implementation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality, as well as its readiness to actively assist the international community in solving urgent humanitarian issues.
Earlier, we reported that Turkmenistan also expressed its full readiness to assist in the evacuation of Bahraini citizens from Iran.
