Oriented on making people closer

After the end of the meeting of the People's Council (Halk Maslahaty), forums, meetings, round tables dedicated to the results of the second meeting of the supreme body of people's power are held in many departments of Turkmenistan.

Including at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where a conference was held, during which current and future specialists of the diplomatic sphere, teachers and students of specialized universities, heads of public organizations listened to speeches with a detailed analysis of the path traveled by the country, as well as upcoming tasks for further development in the light of the doctrine voiced by the leadership of the country.

Against the background of the current situation in the modern world with the revision of political vectors in some cases, changes in trade relations and the threat of new waves of economic shocks, Turkmenistan purposefully continues to implement its own course, which is based on the principles of neutrality, mutually beneficial cooperation with all interested parties, socio-economic development of the country and prosperity of the people.

These basic principles have been and remain unchanged according to the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the conceptual documents adopted by the Government of the country. It was in this context that all the reports of the speakers who participated in the forum on the site of the Institute of International Relations were heard.

For example, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov in his report touched upon a wide range of issues of state and public life related to the further progress of the country, but at the same time placed some emphasis on the aspect of the goal set by the President of Turkmenistan to the Foreign Ministry, but which is closely intertwined with the tasks of other departments conducting specialized activities in the modern geo-economic space.

It is known that the main goals of foreign policy outlined by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov are: creating favorable external conditions for the peaceful and sustainable development of the state and society, strengthening the positions of neutral Turkmenistan in the world, consistent protection of national interests in the system of international relations.

For the successful implementation of the tasks set by the head of state, it is necessary to pay the closest attention to the issues of achieving peace and security on the planet, building up foreign economic relations, introducing high ideals of humanism, morality and justice into international relations. And what is important is the active promotion of the principles of neutrality around the world!

– And Turkmenistan is a role model for other countries, which, adhering to these principles, invariably stands for resolving any conflicts by political and diplomatic means. Turkmenistan, guided by the philosophy of "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace", is an active supporter of the introduction of preventive diplomacy tools into the system of international relations," concluded Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chynar Rustemova also spoke in detail about the significance of the decisions taken at the meeting of the People's Council and about Turkmenistan's interaction with international organizations, focusing on a topic close to her – cooperation with a specialized agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

The speaker noted that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at a meeting of the People's Council, outlined a wide range of priority tasks. Thus, the head of state announced an initiative to form a national federation of clubs of this UN agency under the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, to include in the World Natural Heritage List the traditions of Turkmen folk healing based on medicinal plants growing on the territory of our country, as well as such geological monuments as mud volcanoes Akpatlavuk, Geokpatlavuk, etc.

Chynar Rustemova stressed that the head of Turkmenistan pointed out the importance of continuing work on the inclusion in the World Cultural Heritage List of such ancient caravanserais as Dayakhatyn, and monuments of Dehistan, which at one time served as key trading points on the Great Silk Road.

Our national dish dograma, which has received universal recognition among specialists as having no analogues among other nations, is waiting for its turn to be included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. As well as the art of performing hüwdi (national lullaby song) and the design of a baby's cradle – sallançak.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov considered relevant the inclusion of the Turkmen capital and the city of Arkadag in the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities, as well as the creation of the UNESCO Digital Science Department at the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the conduct of appropriate procedures for the election of Turkmenistan to the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee on Physical Culture and Sports.

...Then the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev and his colleague – Rector of the International University of Humanities and Development Esen Aydogdiyev devoted their speeches to the pedagogical aspect in the education of young professionals.

In the reports of the heads of reputable universities of the country, the topic of developing a Concept for improving teaching methods was a red thread, to which the President of Turkmenistan, speaking at the Halk Maslahaty, paid special attention. This, as the speakers emphasized, is aimed at a harmonious combination of national experience and international educational standards in the teaching methodology.

The speakers drew the attention of those present to the fact that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his speech at the meeting of the People's Council, placed special emphasis on the issues of training scientific, technical, scientific, engineering and managerial personnel in Turkmenistan, as well as closer cooperation of the scientific community of the country with specific producers - industrial complexes, agro-industrial enterprises, etc.

During the conference at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, other issues related to the progress of the country today and in the future, which, as is known, is in the hands of young people, were also considered. And the national leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the People's Council, said that youth is the support of our people!
