As part of the training, the course participants visited the Bagir reservoir, created to provide drip irrigation of nearby agricultural lands. The reservoir is designed to reduce the consequences of a possible mudflow from the mountains. During the construction of this water management facility, modern technologies were used - the bottom of the reservoir is insulated with waterproof membranes that protect groundwater.

Today, Turkmenistan's reservoirs are actively accumulating water to create the necessary water reserves for the needs of the national economy. This approach makes it possible to neutralize any seasonal and climatic fluctuations in the country's water supply.
