The opening ceremony of the Arkadag city starts from the Akhan monument, the official Turkmen press writes today in a report dedicated to the working trip of the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the city of national significance.

The monument to the legendary horse Akhan, built on the initiative of the national leader of the Turkmen people, impresses with grace and originality, and is also a symbol of national love for Akhal-Teke horses, comments the state news agency TDH.

Getting acquainted with the facilities being prepared for opening in the city of Arkadag, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of establishing effective work of road transport infrastructure in the new settlement.

The Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan noted the need to hold celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the city of national importance in an atmosphere of joy and fun. This will become a visible embodiment of the harmonious development of Turkmenistan, the successful achievement of great goals, the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan stressed.
