Oriented on making people closer

Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk inspected the level of readiness of sports facilities in Gomel and Zhlobin for the II Games of the CIS countries. This is reported by BelTA.

According to the head of the department, sports facilities in the above-mentioned cities are at the highest level of readiness.

"The test competitions have shown that it is necessary to correct. There is still enough time, and our facilities are in excellent condition," the head of the sports department of Belarus said, noting that the decision to involve the regions in the competition was correct.

In this regard, Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aleynikov assured that the competitions will be held at the highest level.

Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and other countries will come to Belarus to demonstrate their skills in various disciplines. According to Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk, Brazil, the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Iran, Mongolia, Bahrain and a number of other countries are interested in participating in the Games.

The II Games of the CIS countries will be held from August 4 to 14 in 11 cities of the Republic of Belarus. Competitions will be held in 20 sports.
