 Turkmen athletes will take part in the Asian Wrestling Championship (U-17)

The youth national team of Turkmenistan will take part in the Asian Wrestling Championship, which starts on June 10 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).

According to what ORIENT correspondent was told in the country's Wrestling Federation, the composition of the Turkmen delegation was formed by 19 people, including 15 athletes.

Representatives of the freestyle were: Azimberdy Ashirgulyyev (in the weight category up to 45 kg), Azatberdy Ashirgulyyev (up to 55 kg), Umyt Kakalyyev (up to 60 kg), Vatan Annaorazov (up to 65 kg), Alp Arslan Begenchev (up to 71 kg), Dovletgeldy Muradov (up to 80 kg), Suleyman Musagulyyev (up to 92 kg).

Five athletes will represent Turkmenistan in Greco-Roman style duels: Maksat Seyitliyev (in the weight category up to 45 kg), Husniddin Ulugbekov (up to 55 kg), Bayramgeldy Yagmyrov (up to 60 kg), Kemal Kakabayev (up to 65 kg), Shatlyk Yunusov (up to 71 kg).

The Asian Wrestling Championship (U-17) in Kyrgyzstan will bring together more than 450 athletes from more than 30 countries of the world. The competitions will be held in a specially converted Bishkek Arena Sports Complex.

Greco-Roman wrestlers will be the first to enter the carpet, followed by girls and freestyle wrestlers. In total, athletes will compete for 60 sets of medals in ten weight categories. The tournament will end on June 13. After the end of the competitions among young men, the Asian Championship among wrestlers under 23 (U-23) starts.
