In May, Agence France Presse, citing an unknown source in the kingdom, claimed that the transfer of the forward to one of the teams in Saudi Arabia "has already been decided."

In addition, the forward has the option of continuing his career in the United States. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, the “Inter Miami” club is offering Messi a four-year contract with a salary of $50 million a year. The terms of the contract will include the option of promoting the player to the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

According to media reports, Messi is waiting for an offer from Barcelona, whose management has not yet approached the Argentinean. It is noted that in order to formalize the transition, the club needs to agree with the leadership of the Spanish championship due to financial constraints.
