Turkmen boxers reached the 1/8 finals of the World Championship in Tashkent

Saparmurad Odaev defeated Swede Adel Belalia in the weight category up to 67 kg. In the next stage, the Turkmen boxer will fight against the representative of Venezuela, Cristiano Palacio.
Bayramdurdy Nurmukhammedov defeated Merven Clare from Mauritius in the weight category up to 71 kg.
Nurmukhammedov defeated his opponent by decision of the judges. In the next fight, a boxer from Turkmenistan will meet with an athlete from Russia Igor Sviredchenkov.
The World Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan brought together 300 athletes from 65 countries who are fighting for medals in 13 weight categories.
The prize fund of the championship is 5,200,000 US dollars. The winners will receive $200,000, the silver medalists will receive $100,000, and the bronze medalists will receive $50,000.
