China daily: Chinese Chengdu is ready for the Summer Universiade

The organizers announce that they are fully ready for the competition.
The city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province in southwest China was the only candidate to host the Summer Universiade. The decision to hold the competition in Chengdu was made on March 1, 2019 at a meeting of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Krasnoyarsk, where the 2019 Winter Universiade was held.
In addition to 15 compulsory sports, rowing, shooting and wushu are also included in the Universiade program.
Previously, two cities of the Celestial Empire hosted the Summer World Student Games: Beijing in 2001 and Shenzhen in 2011.
