 The Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia will train journalistic personnel for the CIS countries

The Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) is supposed to be given the status of the base organization of the CIS for the training and retraining of journalistic personnel. This topic will be considered at the sixth meeting of the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Russia and Central Asia, which will be held in Samarkand on April 14. Information about this is published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

PFUR University was founded in 1960 and today is one of the most international and diversified universities in Russia. The university has five faculties, 10 institutes and one academy, where students from 155 countries study.

Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov will represent Turkmenistan at the upcoming forum of foreign ministers in Uzbekistan on Friday. Diplomats plan to discuss promising areas of cooperation between Russia and Central Asia in the political, trade, economic, transport, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
