Turkmenistan discussed cooperation in the field of industrial safety in the CIS
24.11.2022 | 20:30 |Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the CIS, Nazarguly Shagulyev, took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth, which was held in Minsk, the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
One of the issues on the agenda of the meeting is cooperation in the field of industrial safety in the Commonwealth. Thus, the participants were aware of the activities of the Interstate Council for Industrial Safety, which is aimed at ensuring coordinated actions and measures taken in this area.
The work of the Council makes it possible to use the results of joint research, informational and methodological materials, as well as practical experience in industrial safety issues.
In this regard, the openness of the Interstate Industrial Safety Council for cooperation and exchange of experience with relevant structures regulating industrial safety issues in countries outside the Commonwealth region was noted. In particular, cooperation with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, namely, the Secretariat of the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents.
The plenipotentiaries also got acquainted with the documents adopted following the results of the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government held in Astana on October 28.
