Turkmen musicians will perform at the anniversary V International Festival in Tsinandali

The opening of one of the largest academic music festivals in Georgia - Tsinandali Festival, will take place on August 31 at the historical estate of Prince Chavchavadze in Tsinandali (Kakheti). The fifth anniversary festival is also attended by seven young Turkmen musicians from the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of conductor Rasul Klychev. Some of them came to Georgia for the second time and there are debutants among them, who in February of this year passed the most difficult selection audition, which was conducted in Ashgabat by Claudio Vandelli, one of the most promising Italian conductors of the new generation and co-author of the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra.

Russian archaeologists found an ancient set for an unknown board game in Gonur-Depe

Archaeologists from the Institute of the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IIMK RAS), together with colleagues from the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, discovered a complete set for an unknown ancient board game during excavations in Turkmenistan. Andrey Polyakov, director of the IIMK RAS, told reporters about this at a press conference at TASS.
