China on Tuesday released Qiusuo 4.0, the country's first evaluation benchmark covering the entire artificial intelligence industry chain, including computing power, model algorithms, intelligent systems and products, industry applications and security governance.

The national benchmark provides chipmakers, model developers and other AI product manufacturers with a unified testing process and common evaluation criteria.

Qiusuo 4.0 also includes real-world test workloads for sectors such as power, healthcare and steel, helping address the long-standing problem of evaluation results being difficult to compare across different environments.

The system has already undergone several rounds of pilot evaluations across the industry chain, including product validation in finance, power and petrochemicals.

Lightweight versions of Qiusuo tools for computing power, large models and intelligent agents have also been open-sourced, allowing companies to reproduce evaluations more quickly and conduct joint hardware-software verification.

The system is divided into four main sections: foundational software and hardware, models and intelligent systems, security governance, and industry implementation.

Qiusuo 4.0 includes 16 evaluation tools covering areas from computing infrastructure and intelligent computing clouds to large models, intelligent agents, embodied AI, smart terminals and AI security.

According to CCTV+, the new benchmark is designed to make AI product evaluation more comparable and help companies select and deploy technologies more efficiently.
