The publication informs that the lake is connected with a line of thermal sources located at the northern foothills of the Kopet Dagh. The considerable mineralization and constant high temperature - 33-37 degrees Celsius - specify that the lake waters rise from a deep water, approximately from 600-650 metres. The age of the cave is estimated by several millennia. The site is located at the depth of more than 50 metres. The electric illumination helps to enjoy all the beauty there. In one part of a 250-metre hall the azure lake with slightly mineralized water stretches. Excursions, and also swimming by boats and bathing involve numerous tourists and inhabitants of Turkmenistan.
From the end of the 1960-ties of the last century the infrastructure of this district was adjusted, the highway to the lake was constructed, the electricity was brought, and steps from the entrance to the cave to the lake were built.
