Turkmenistan’s textile industry is expanding its range of products manufactured using locally sourced raw materials. During a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on April 24, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyyev to commission new production facilities at the textile complex located in the city of Bayramaly (Mary Velayat).
The new production facility specializes in the manufacture of high-quality wool yarn, a product for which there is significant demand in foreign markets. Previously, a substantial portion of this raw material was exported in an unprocessed state; now, however, the focus is shifting toward creating finished products domestically.
These new facilities will enable the industry to meet the demand of domestic enterprises for high-quality raw materials. The launch of these production units in Bayramaly will also create additional jobs and bolster the industrial standing of the Mary Velayat.
The Head of State emphasized that the efficiency of the textile sector depends directly on the ability of enterprises to produce in-demand and competitive goods that meet international standards.
