From April 17 to 20, the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) organized an exclusive familiarization tour for representatives of nine leading travel companies from Turkmenistan. The aim of the trip was to explore the unique potential of the Black Sea coast — a region known for its rich cultural traditions and stunning natural landscapes.
The visit began with participation in the International Kachkar touristic exhibition held in Rize. Turkmen specialists conducted a series of B2B meetings with Turkish counterparts, discussing concrete steps for cooperation and laying the groundwork for new tourism packages. Direct dialogue between industry representatives of both countries opens opportunities for experience exchange and the creation of unique travel offers.

The tour program allowed participants to fully immerse themselves in the region, covering the most scenic locations of Rize and Artwin provinces. The specialists explored centuries-old traditions in the famous Rize Bezi weaving workshops, where fabrics are still produced on handlooms, and enjoyed the beauty of the Checheva Haremtepe tea plantations.
The itinerary also included a visit to the historic Zilkale castle, exploration of the powerful Palowit waterfall, and a walk around the high-altitude Borchka Karagiol lake — combining historical heritage with unique natural beauty.
