Currently, the final technical session on the preparation of the Memorandum on the foreign trade regime of Turkmenistan is being held at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
The preparation of this document involves extensive interdepartmental coordination. Representatives of various ministries and departments of our country take part in the working meetings of the session. Their collective experience and ideas are of great importance in shaping the comprehensive document that will outline Turkmenistan's foreign trade policy and practices.

This session is held in the presence of Anna Varyanik, an employee of the accession department of the Secretariat of the World Trade Organization, who arrived in Ashgabat to provide expert recommendations and finalize the Memorandum.
The Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime is a fundamental document necessary for the country’s accession to the WTO. It should provide a detailed overview of the current trade policy and describe the country's economic system.

Assistance and technical assistance in the preparation of the Memorandum are provided by various international organizations and institutions, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the International Trade Center (ITC).
During the five-day event, participants actively debate, discuss in-depth and in detail the current legal framework of the country to ensure an accurate, detailed and complete reflection of the economic policy and trade regime of Turkmenistan in the Memorandum.
