Subject Olympiads in the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, the English and Turkmen languages will be held in Turkmenistan among 11th grade students of secondary schools of the country, the State electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.

High school students who wish to participate must submit an application by March 20 to the organizing committee’s email (hgi.charetm@gmail.com). Invitations to the Olympiads will be sent to participants at the email addresses they provide by April 3.

They will be held online in two rounds: in the capital and velayats of the country during April. The schedule, a sample application for participation and other useful information are posted on the IIR website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan www.iirmfa.edu.tm in the Announcements section.

Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads who will take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, as well as participants who show high results in competitions, will be awarded Certificates of Honor and memorable prizes on May 8, 2024.

The Olympiads will be held under the motto “Watanyň daýanjy – bilimli ýaşlar, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdaryň guwanjy ýaşlar!” (Youth are the support of the Fatherland, youth are the pride of Arkadagly Hero Serdar!” and dedicated to International Education Day. The organizers are the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan together with the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly.

Let us remind you that every year on January 24 the world celebrates International Education Day. It was proclaimed by a resolution of the UN General Assembly on December 3, 2018 to commemorate the high role of education in achieving global peace and universal sustainable development.
