The museum values of Turkmenistan will be presented at the Silk Road International Cultural Expo, which will be held in the Chinese city of Dunhuang, Gansu Province, on September 6-7. Invitation to become the guest of honor the country received expositions this summer.

Guests and participants of the Chinese Silk Road exhibition will be able to see rare exhibits of two Turkmen museums - the State Museum of the State Cultural Center and the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. The museum funds hold national and cultural values, many of which have already been presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as well as in expositions of European cities, including Germany.

The Turkmen delegation to Dunhuang, which includes museum specialists, will be headed by Meretgeldy Charyev, Director of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. They will take part in the organization and holding of exhibition events dedicated to the demonstration of cultural, artistic, cultural and tourist goods of the country - the main guest of honor of the Silk Road EXPO.

According to the press service of the organizing committee of the exhibition, more than 1,200 guests from China and foreign countries are expected at the opening ceremony of the Silk Road EXPO. Forums, presentations, fairs and art performances will be held on the margins of the exposition.
