Turkmenistan will purchase passenger aircraft of the American Boeing Corporation to expand its civil aviation fleet on behalf of the head of state.
In particular, two 777-300ER modification airliners will be purchased (with a flight range of up to 12 thousand km increased due to the installation of additional fuel tanks) and four new medium-haul 737-8 MAX 8 aircraft (up to 6,570 km).
Mammethan Chakyev, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on measures to update and expand the country's air fleet at a government meeting on Saturday, presenting for consideration the relevant document, which the head of state approved and signed.
