The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is holding an international competition of scientific papers on the topic "The possibilities of transport and transit corridors in the strategy for the restoration of the Great Silk Road".
The competition is also co-organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Students, postgraduates, young scientists under the age of 35 who are engaged in research activities in the relevant field are invited to participate. Citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey and Iran can submit their works to the competition along with Turkmen citizens.
The works submitted for the competition should be on the following topics:
— Exploring the possibilities of Eastern Europe in the direction of Central Asia-Caspian Sea-Black Sea region;
— Exploring the possibilities of creating new transport and communication routes in the direction of Central Asia — the Middle East;
— Opportunities for the development of the international transport corridor "Lapis-Lazuli";
— Opportunities of Central Asian countries within the framework of the international transport corridor "North-South";
— China's "One Belt— One Road" initiative.
Interested persons can send their scientific papers to the following email address: hgi.hygdek@gmail.com until June 1. The works must be written by one author in Russian or English.
The results of the first stage of the competition will be announced by the international jury on September 1. The winners of the second round will be announced in December this year. They will be awarded valuable prizes and relevant diplomas.
