Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to neighboring Afghanistan - the shipment arrived in Herat province on Tuesday. This is 1,200 tons of cargo for various purposes, in particular, textile products, food products, as well as 20 railway tank cars of oil products produced in Turkmenistan, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan informs.
A representative delegation from Turkmenistan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Muhammad Abbas Stanikzai, head of the Herat province Nur Ahmad Islamjar and others took part in the ceremony for the transfer of humanitarian aid.
After the ceremony, a charitable collective meal was organized at the new mosque in the village of Akina, built with the support of the Turkmen side, and in the village of Turgundi.
