Ashgabat, April 3 | ORIENT. The country's oil and gas sector completed the first quarter of 2026 significantly ahead of forecasts. The focus is not only on raw material production but also on advanced hydrocarbon processing, allowing Turkmenistan to strengthen its position as a supplier of high-value-added products.

The liquefied gas and light petroleum products segment demonstrated the most impressive growth.

Liquefied gas: 126.7% of planned volumes fulfilled;

Gasoline: up to 119% of planned volumes;

Diesel fuel: 111.8% fulfilled.

The Turkmennebit State Concern achieved 106.9% of its planned oil production. Stable performance in the gas industry also remains, with natural and associated gas production reaching 107.5% of the planned target. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov at a government meeting on Friday.

Summarizing the results, the President of Turkmenistan outlined priority areas for the fuel and energy sector, including geological exploration and export diversification. This included intensifying the drilling of new exploration wells to expand the resource base, expanding the geography of supplies to global markets, and maximizing the utilization of existing production capacities.
