Arduino opens tools for training custom AI models
Arduino has significantly simplified the work of developers by introducing tools for creating and deploying custom neural networks directly in the Arduino App Lab environment. This became possible thanks to deep integration with the popular service Edge Impulse.
Previously, users had to rely on a limited set of pre-built neural networks or spend time transferring models from third-party programs. Now the entire development cycle — from training a model to running it on hardware — is available within a single interface. After logging in through a unified Arduino account, all models created in Edge Impulse Studio are automatically synchronized with the App Lab workspace.
This update makes machine learning technologies accessible even to beginners. Now, to create a “smart” gadget, such as a gesture-recognition system or a device that recognizes voice commands, users no longer need to be experts in neural network programming. To make it easier to get started, the company has also released a short video tutorial that explains step by step how to connect and train the first model.
