Nothing Phone (4a): New glyph lighting design and a unique AI button
Nothing has officially revealed the design of its upcoming smartphone, the Phone (4a). The presentation is scheduled for March 5, but it is already clear that the brand has significantly refreshed its signature style while maintaining its transparency concept.
From Light Strips to the Glyph Bar
The main visual change is the removal of the traditional LED strips around the camera. The Phone (4a) introduces the Glyph Bar — a compact panel located on the right side of the device, consisting of six square segments.
Engineers integrated nine controllable mini-LEDs into the panel, with brightness 40% higher than all previous models in the “A” series. This will make notifications more visible even in bright sunlight.

An interesting functional addition is the physical Essential Key button located on the side frame. It is designed for instant access to the Essential Space application. This is a dedicated space powered by artificial intelligence features to help users solve everyday tasks.
