The UAE and Africa create the largest agri-food hub in Abu Dhabi
AD Ports Group, BUA Group, and MAIR Group have signed a strategic partnership agreement. The aim of the alliance is to transform Abu Dhabi into a global center for food processing (sugar and vegetable oils) and strengthen the region's food security.
The partners plan to build modern sugar factories and edible oil production facilities. The main base will be the Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, which possesses a powerful transport infrastructure. The project will also cover the markets of Africa and Latin America, connecting continents with new logistics chains.
The cooperation will affect not only processing, but also the storage, transportation, and distribution of grain, feed, and legumes.
