In Turkmenistan, a platform for video-supported tuberculosis treatment has been launched

The piloting of a platform for video-supported tuberculosis (VST) treatment has commenced in Turkmenistan. This digital tool enables patients to undergo treatment under the remote supervision of healthcare professionals, ensuring greater flexibility, adherence to therapy, and comfort throughout the treatment process.

This initiative is being implemented by the United Nations Development Programme within the framework of a tuberculosis control project, financed by the Global Fund and the Government of Turkmenistan, and reflects the country's efforts to introduce innovations into the healthcare system.
