Turkmenistan’s Ministry of labor publishes 2025 work calendar

Turkmenistan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has published the 2025 work calendar on its official website. The calendar calculates work hours for different schedules:

  • Five-day, 40-hour workweeks with 8-hour workdays,
  • Six-day, 40-hour workweeks with 7-hour workdays,
  • Six-day, 36-hour workweeks with 6-hour workdays.

In 2025, Turkmenistan will observe 12 non-working public holidays:

  • January 1 – New Year’s Day
  • March 8 – International Women’s Day
  • March 21-22 – National Spring Holiday
  • March 30 – Oraza Bayram
  • May 18 – Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan
  • June 6,7,8 – Kurban Bayram
  • September 27 – Independence Day of Turkmenistan
  • October 6 – Remembrance Day
  • December 12 – International Day of Neutrality

In accordance with Article 61 of Turkmenistan’s Labor Code, work hours on the eve of these holidays will be reduced by one hour.
