Maia Sandu officially took the oath and assumed the office of President of Moldova. This marks her second term after being re-elected in the general elections held in November of this year.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Palace of the Republic in Chișinău and was attended by over 500 guests, including members of parliament, government officials, and distinguished guests.

In her speech, Sandu emphasized that she accepts the new mandate with humility and determination, noting that the previous four years had been filled with challenges, including economic crises and the war at the border.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Moldova for their support and unity, Sandu stated that European integration is the country's main project.

"European integration is our path to security and prosperity", she said, stressing that Moldova must strive for EU membership and continue its journey toward peace and prosperity.

Sandu, representing the "Action and Solidarity" party, won the second round of Moldova's presidential elections, held on November 3 of this year, receiving 55.35% of the votes.
