Turkmen diplomats and members of the “Knowledge” Society of Ukraine discussed dialogue opportunities


The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kiev hosted a meeting with members of the Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine Andrey Gorchakov, Katerina and Olga Kravchuk.
The “Knowledge” Society of Ukraine was founded in 1948 and is the largest non-governmental organization of the country with many years of experience in promoting science, education and culture. Today its members include scientists, professors, teachers and cultural figures.
Andrey Gorchakov noted that the structure of the society includes a private university that offers training courses in various fields, and diplomas of higher education are recognized in many countries around the world. In this regard, the representative of the “Knowledge” Society expressed readiness to accept citizens of Turkmenistan as students, as reported by the Embassy.
To foster cultural cooperation, the guests expressed their readiness to hold joint exhibitions, concerts, and other events with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy.
Ambassador Toyly Atayev, in turn, noted that the fields of science, education and culture are important areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine, and provided the Ukrainian side with information about the activities of the Embassy in these areas. In particular, he spoke about the widespread celebration of the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen thinker and poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi in Ukraine and the world community.
