At the international conference " Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2024", Abdulla Al Shamsi, ADNOC Senior Vice President for International Business, Gas and LNG, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the company's largest delegation at this significant event. He also noted that for the first time, ADNOC has a stand at the OGT exhibition.

He noted that participation in the exhibition is an important step towards strengthening relations with Turkmenistan, emphasizing the importance of the country as a hub of rich energy resources and having a strategic location. Al Shamsi emphasized that Turkmenistan plays a key role in the global transition to low-carbon energy.

According to the speaker, natural gas is an important component in reducing carbon emissions and providing a reliable and affordable source of energy for a growing population. ADNOC views gas as a central element of its growth strategies both domestically and internationally.

Al Shamsi also presented several key global gas projects, including joint ventures in Egypt and Azerbaijan, as well as investments in projects in the United States and Mozambique. He highlighted ADNOC’s extensive experience in developing sour gas resources, which could be useful for partners with similar assets.

The company is committed to sustainable development, with a target to reduce emissions intensity by 25% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Al Shamsi noted the importance of partnership and cultural ties between the two countries, expressing hope for further strengthening of relations and the creation of new friendships.
