Samsung may release a triple smartphone next year
South Korean company Samsung may release a smartphone with a flexible display, which folds three times, next year. This was reported at the portal GSMArena.
The manufacturer has already prepared the supply chains for the necessary components.
According to the information, the device will have two hinges and will fold inward, not the Z shape, as in Huawei.
The new model will feature a 12.4-inch internal screen, which is 2.2 inches larger than the Huawei Mate XT.
This will be part of Samsung's plans to expand and improve its lineup of foldable devices.
According to the source, Samsung has cut orders for foldable OLED panels by more than 10%, as demand for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 smartphones was lower the manufacturer's expectations.
Thus, Samsung Display will supply 12 million foldable OLED panels this year, which is 40% less than the 20 million flexible displays shipped last year.
