BRICS summit starts in Kazan
The BRICS Summit of Heads of State starts in Kazan.
This event is a key event of Russia's presidency in BRICS in 2024. The summit will run until October 24.
It will be devoted to strengthening multilateralism, integration of new members of the association. This is the 16th meeting of the BRICS members, which will be attended by representatives of over 30 countries. Among the guests of honor are President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, President of PRC Xi Jinping, President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
In the evening of 22 October, the participants will have an informal dinner at the Kazan City Hall. The BRICS summit will start in the morning of 23 October.
The Kazan Declaration will be adopted as a result of the summit.
