A student from Turkmenistan became the champion of the Kharkov region in mixed martial arts

On February 24, regional competitions in mixed martial arts and MMA were held in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The first place at the championship among athletes from 19 to 40 years old in the 93 kg weight category was won by a student of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, a citizen of Turkmenistan, Babageldi Khalimov. This was reported on the network page of the Turkmen embassy in Kyiv.
In January of this year, Babageldi Khalimov became the champion of the Kharkov region in jiu-jitsu in the 90 kg weight category.
In 2023, he also took first place at the Ukrainian Open MMA Championship. Babageldy is a 4th year student at the Oil and Gas Faculty of KhPI.
