A Turkmen medical student became the hero of the publication of the Belarus Today edition
The online edition of sb.by the publishing house "Belarus Today" published an article under the heading "I saved a patient after clinical death": a BSMU student from Turkmenistan works at the 4th hospital in Minsk." The hero of the note was Aman Alymov, a 6th‑year student of the main Belarusian medical university.
Now he combines his studies with night shifts at the Minsk clinic as a nurse. He has two more years of residency in Minsk ahead of him. Aman will become a certified rheumatologist. Telling the story of his path to the profession and the everyday life of a nurse, the publication cites a case when Aman had to save a patient after clinical death was pronounced.
It is a pleasure to meet such publications about our young compatriots abroad. And I must say, such materials are not uncommon, and yet everyone is proud of their fellow countrymen. The only thing I would like to correct my Belarusian colleagues is in the phrase that few people in Turkmenistan know Russian. It's rather the opposite.
And here, too, we will refer to the opinion from the outside. For example, recently on the resource altapress.ru Dmitry Yurochkin, the head of the Altai-Guide Russian travel club, published his impressions of his first trip to Turkmenistan.
"The first thing that caught my eye was the excellent knowledge of the Russian language among all residents. Very polite and friendly people ...", - notes Yurochkin. Talking about the farthest point of the trip around the country, he adds: "Even here, near the border with Afghanistan, the residents speak Russian well."
The other day, Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin also noted at a briefing in Ashgabat: "It is very gratifying that here we feel the popularity and demand for the Russian language ...".
