Uzbek diplomats held talks in Lebap to increase cross-border cooperation

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan visited the Lebap region to conduct negotiations on increasing the volume of exports of Uzbek products, attracting investments and developing cross-border trade and economic cooperation.
The diplomats made study tours to the “Turkmen Yyldyzy”, “Altyn Burgut” and “Sir Yag” enterprises located in Lebap.
At negotiations with the management of the “Turkmen Yyldyzy” company, specializing in the production of cables, director Gurbannazar Rejepov said that he purchases electrically conductive aluminum wires and PVC plastics from Uzbekistan and plans to further increase the volume of imports of these products. He noted the expediency of organizing the production of copper cable in cooperation with Uzbek partners, Dunyo news agency reports.
During the meeting at the “Sir Yag” enterprise, it was noted that this joint venture, created with the participation of Turkish investments and technologies, today produces high-quality automobile oils and is interested in supplying these products to Uzbekistan at competitive prices.
In this context, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the “Sir Yag” delegation to Uzbekistan to discuss issues of establishing the supply of high-quality and inexpensive motor oils.
During his acquaintance with the “Altyn Burgut” enterprise, which grows and exports tomatoes to Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, director Begench Chariev also noted his interest in cooperation with Uzbek companies.
The negotiations were fruitful and, as a result, relevant preliminary agreements were reached, Dunyo notes.
