The first payments under the National Fund for Children program have begun to arrive in Kazakhstan

Children participating in the program received $100.52 in special accounts for 2023, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Kazakhstani children born in 2006 and later will receive start-up capital from the state for the future. Every year, 50% of the investment income of the National Fund of Kazakhstan, averaged over 18 years, will be transferred to their special accounts.
Amounts accrued to children in previous years will continue to be invested as part of the National Fund’s assets. This means that they will generate additional income.
Children will not be able to draw out this money until they turn 18. They will be available to them only after they reach adulthood. The savings can be used to improve their living conditions or pay for education. According to preliminary estimates, for the entire period of participation in the program, children will receive from three to four thousand dollars.
In 2024, the program will include children who turn 18 this year. They will be accrued target requirements for 2023, which they will be able to use for their intended purpose only after reaching adulthood.
It is expected that in 2024, more than 250 thousand young Kazakhstanis will be able to receive funds from the National Fund. About $695.5 million will be awarded to children.
Let us remind you that earlier the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan reported that funds from the National Fund will begin to be paid to children from February 1, 2024.
