Apple is developing a new operating system

A mention of the HomeOS operating system was found in the beta version of the Apple TV tvOS code. Apple has not previously announced this operating system.

This is probably the name of the operating system for Apple's new smart display. According to rumors, it may be presented this year.

The device will compete with Amazon Echo Show, Meta Portal and Google Nest Hub. The novelty will receive an iPad-style design, speakers like the HomePod, and will come with a FaceTime camera. Perhaps the device will debut this year.

Apple introduced the beta version of tvOS 17.4 for developers at the end of January 2024.
