The delegation of the Emirati news agency WAM is establishing cooperation with the Turkmen media.
The delegation of the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates - WAM is in Ashgabat on its first working visit, during which it discusses prospects for bilateral cooperation and ways to expand news exchange with the media of Turkmenistan.
The delegation visited a number of organizations and met with officials, inviting them to participate in the 3rd Global Media Congress, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in November.
During the visit, the delegation headed by the Director General of the agency Mohammed Jalal Al Raissi met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Culture and Media Mahrijemal Mammedova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova and Chairman of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Arslan Ashirov, reports WAM
The parties discussed the development of media cooperation between the UAE and Turkmenistan. During the meetings, Mohammed Jalal Al Raissi presented a summary of the results of the 1st and 2nd Global Media Congress. He noted the role of this international event in providing new knowledge that inspires journalists and paves the way for improving the effectiveness of the media in achieving progress, expanding opportunities for communication, mutual understanding, cooperation and support for the values of peaceful coexistence between representatives of different cultures and religions.
The Turkmen side welcomes cooperation with WAM in all areas of media activity, which contribute to familiarization with the riches, cultural potential and economic opportunities of both countries.
