The Governor of the Iranian province of Khorasan Razavi was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov met on Thursday, January 25, with the Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yakub Ali Nazari.
The sides exchanged views on the current state and further development of cooperation between the two countries. The interlocutors noted the high level of trust in interstate relations, consolidated by the systematic and dynamic nature of contacts at the highest level, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
At the meeting, the possibilities of intensifying cooperation between the regions of the two states were considered. In this context, the Memorandum previously signed between the Mary region of Turkmenistan and the Khorasan Razavi province of Iran was also touched upon.
The importance of the visit of the Iranian delegation headed by Governor Yakub Ali Nazari to Turkmenistan was noted, which is a practical step in the implementation of the memorandum.
The day before, the Iranian governor visited Mary, where he held talks with the leadership of the region.
