The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan held a briefing in honor of the announcement of 2024 in Turkmenistan as the year of the "Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy"
On January 25, 2024, a briefing was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan in honor of the announcement of 2024 in Turkmenistan as the year of "The Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy".
The event was attended by the leadership of the C.Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature at the Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the Rector's Office of the Kyrgyz National University named after J.Balasagyn, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, leading political scientists, media representatives, students from among the citizens of Turkmenistan studying at higher educational institutions in Bishkek, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora.
The speakers emphasized the special importance of the creative heritage of the great thinker Magtymguly, which has become an integral part of the treasury of world culture.
In this context, it was stated that the current year 2024, held under the motto "The Storehouse of the mind of Magtymguly Pyragy", is intended to pay tribute to the great poet and philosopher, becoming a kind of sign of deep reverence by current generations of the richest creative heritage of the great classic of the Turkmen people.
The participants stressed the relevance of including the collection of manuscripts of the Turkmen philosopher and poet Magtymguly Pyragy in the International List of "Memory of the World" and adding his 300th anniversary to the UNESCO List of Memorable Dates, as well as declaring the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) 2024 "The Year of the great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic world Magtymguly Pyragy".
During the briefing, the first book of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, "Youth — the support of the Motherland", presented to the public on the eve of 2024 and dedicated to the significant achievements and successes of the younger generation of Turkmen citizens, was also presented.
The main idea of the book by the head of state is devoted to the role of youth in the development of the country. The younger generation is the key core of society and its development is a priority for the further progress of the motherland. Pride and respect were expressed for the talented youth of Turkmenistan, who have achieved outstanding results in education, science, sports and other fields.
The participants of the event were also told about the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 – the city of Anau, the decision on which was unanimously adopted at the 39th meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY, held in the Turkish city of Bursan, and a video was shown demonstrating the achievements of the country.
The briefing participants noted that this event will serve as another important step in strengthening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
