On January 22, the State Museum of Fine Arts opened an exhibition of works by national artists of Turkmenistan in honor of Defenders of the Fatherland Day, which is celebrated on January 27.

The exhibition presents works by famous Russian masters Yarly Bayramov, Valentina Kudryashova, Arslan Muhatov, Gulnazar Begmuradova, Nikolai Chervyakov, Ashir Nuryev, Vladimir Pavlotsky, Evgenia Adamova, Jumadurdy Amandurdiyev, Chary Ovvyaev and Izat Klychev. As well as sculptors Arthur Abramov and Alexey Shchetinin. The paintings show portraits of Turkmen soldiers and episodes of soldiers returning home with victory.

"Today we live in an independent and prosperous country. The cultural sphere is developing dynamically, and international cooperation is strengthening. I think this is a huge tribute to the memory of our heroic ancestors," said Maysa Oraeva, head of the museum's scientific department.
