Dragon Oil has opened a new office in Ashgabat


Dragon Oil in Turkmenistan has opened its new office in Ashgabat. The ceremony was attended by the company's executive director Ali Rashid Al Jarwan and Chairman of the state concern Turkmennebit Guvanch Agajanov, the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan reported on its social networks.
The partnership between Turkmenistan and Dragon Oil is an example of mutually beneficial long-term cooperation. The Emirati company has been operating in Turkmenistan since 2000 on the basis of a Production Sharing Agreement. Its main activity in Turkmenistan is the extraction of hydrocarbons in the Cheleken contractual territory in the Caspian Sea through the development of the Jeytun and Dzhigalybeg oil fields. The company has invested more than 8 billion US dollars in the project.

High performance and successful cooperation have created the foundation for the signing of a contract between the State Concern Turkmennebit and Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. on the extension of the Production Sharing Agreement until May 1, 2035. The main task of Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. The goal is to increase the production of crude oil from the fields of the Cheleken contractual territory.
Year after year, Dragon Oil confirms its status as a reliable partner of Turkmenistan, focusing on environmentally safe hydrocarbon production.
Ali Rashid Al Jarwan said at the COP 28 conference in Dubai that Dragon Oil in Turkmenistan will completely stop burning gas at its production sites by 2027.
